A Nightmarish Unkindness

I felt inspired to finish up Muninmon's evo line a few days ago and it's about time I did.

Yeah, Muninmon is a pretty friendly Digimon normally. Her higher forms... not so much.

Let's pretend I can draw things. Yeah. Okay. Anyway.

Nemaidramon
Pronunciation: Neh-may-drah-mon
Stage: Adult
Attribute: Virus
Type: Giant Bird
Species: Dark
Family: Wind Guardians, Nightmare Soldiers
Height: 3.05m (10’0”)
Name Origin: A combination of Nemain and dragon. In Irish mythology the Morrigan is often portrayed as a triple goddess, the most common triad being the Babd, Macha and Nemain who are also associated with ravens.
Attacks:
- Whisper of Shadow: Nemaidramon’s body becomes enveloped in darkness turning her into a living shadow. Her body then spreads along the ground toward the opponent and envelops them, causing them damage.

- Dark Twister: In a similar fashion to Muninmon’s Blackmail, Nemaidramon kicks up a twister of shadows and winds by spinning with outstretched wings at a high speed. This twister of darkness is much bigger and stronger and Nemaidramon has more control over it.

- Night Flare: Nemaidramon’s talons burst into shadowy flames which she uses to claw at the opponent. The flames can envelope her entire body and turn into a charge attack.

Muninmon’s playful nature seems to disappear when she becomes Nemaidramon. This shadowy creature silently flies in the night sky, her raspy cries echoing in the darkness. It is said that stars and moon disappear in the presence of Nemaidramon and the only thing that can be seen is the glowing of her small red eyes.
Nemaidramon is still a rather social Digimon as she likes the company of other Nemaidramon. Groups of them gather in desolate areas of the Digital World to talk and possibly plot.

Erebumon
Pronunciation: Eh-reh-boo-mon
Stage: Perfect
Attribute: Virus
Type: Bird Man
Species: Dark
Family: Wind Guardians, Nightmare Soldiers
Height: 2.74m (9’0”)
Name Origin: In Greek mythology, Erebus was the son of Chaos and represented the personification of darkness
Attacks:
- Creeping Shadow: Erebumon crawls along the ground with amazing speed, surrounded with a shadowy aura before disappearing completely. She reappears when she’s close enough to the opponent’s face, then strikes with elongated, shadowy claws, either on her wings or her talons, but with the same strength.

- Raven Haze: Erebumon opens her beak and releases thick smog that surrounds the opponent. When inhaled, the smog causes small amounts of internal damage while Erebumon can strike while the opponent’s sight is obscured. She is not affected by the smog and has clear vision in it. The effects of the smog on the opponent linger after the attack is done.

- Crawling Grasp: Crawling along the ground, Erebumon grabs the opponent and squeezes as tight as she can. Dark energy surges into the opponent’s body, damaging them from the inside. This does far more damage than Raven Haze, but the effects don’t linger.

Despite her wings, Erebumon tends to stay close to the ground and actually prefers crawling to flying as her wings aren’t as strong. She’s silent and swift, creeping up on unsuspecting victims with her body as close to the ground as she can without hindering her movements. Erebumon is incredibly flexible to the point of being able to contort and twist her body in seemingly impossible ways, adding to her nightmarish appearance.
Rumours circulate about Erebumon, one of the most well known is that she lies in wait for unsuspecting Digimon in the shadows, reaches for them when they get close enough then drags them into the darkness. It’s said she devours their DigiCores to add to her own strength.

Irkallamon
Pronunciation: Err-kah-lah-mon
Stage: Ultimate
Attribute: Virus
Type: Demon Man
Species: Dark
Family: Wind Guardians, Nightmare Soldiers
Height: 2.30m (7’7”)
Name Origin: In Mesopotamian mythology “Irkalla” is the name of the hell-like underworld. The goddess of the underworld, Ereshkigal was formerly known as “Irkalla”.
Attacks:
- Shadows of Hell: Irkallamon’s hands begin to radiate a strange dark aura. She then slams her hands onto the ground, sinking her claws into it. The ground shakes and cracks, from which hundreds of shadows rise up. These shadows resemble winged humanoid beings, probably shadows of herself. The shadows attack the opponent, trapping them in a whirlwind of hellish darkness.

- Night of the Underworld: Irkallamon takes to the sky and raises her arms. The sky becomes black and Irkallamon’s hands become surrounded with an eerie aura. She lets out a piercing screech and sends a wave of burning dark energy at the opponent that can't be seen in the blackness.

- Raven’s Feast: Irkallamon lets out a cry which resembles that of a raven’s. Countless shadowy raven figures manifest from nothing and attack the opponent, pecking and pulling at their flesh, regardless of how tough it maybe. This is normally used as a distraction while Irkallamon prepares another attack.

- Demon’s Sphere: Irkallamon creates a sphere in her hands made of swirling darkness and hellfire which she fires at the opponent. If she has the chance, she can charge the attack before firing it.

A Digimon that most do not want to contend with, Irkallamon is seemingly an emotionless and cold-hearted creature who mercilessly kills her opponents in the most harsh and terrible ways she possibly can. Nasty rumours circulate about Irkallamon as well, but one of the most well known is that she can rob a Digimon of its DigiCore by shoving her hand into a Digimon’s body and actually pulling it out so that she may devour it.
Irkallamon’s wings are much stronger and she now prefers to fly and doesn’t crawl like her previous form. She retains the hand appendages on her wings and is fully capable of using them as such. She still has a fair amount of flexibility, but doesn’t have as much contortion ability as Erebumon (though she can twist and contort to some extent, just not to same extreme).

Pretend those descriptions are good. Anyway, there we go. I guess Erebumon may still look similar to Nemaidramon. Hopefully her body is elongated and scrawny enough. Either way, I'm happy with this line.
